I finally uploaded San Francisco pics onto my site (Hey, they're only a month overdue)!
*If you want to see captions, just put the mouse on the pics.
Ok, that's it for the pictures from San Francisco. Now here are some random pictures from around the dorm.
Kaylan made chocolate chip cookies!!
Liz, Kaylan, and Scott eating cookies. (And my hand holding a cup of milk.)
Karie, Louis, Dan, and Theo messing around in the kitchen.
Everyone in our room watching the final episode of Friends.
Bria and Corie chillin' on our couch.
Kaylan when she took an overdose of allergy medication.
Random pic from back at home: Leah and Danna posing with incense sticks they bought at Venice Beach. Aren't they cute?
Okay, that's the end of my pics. I'm very proud of them. I hope you liked them!

According to a beauty experts' poll that I read in BBC news, these women are the 10 most naturally beautiful women:
1. Audrey Hepburn
2. Liv Tyler
3. Cate Blanchett
4. Angelina Jolie
5. Grace Kelly
6. Natalie Imbruglia
7. Juliette Binoche
8. Halle Berry
9. Helena Christensen
10. Elle MacPherson
Live Tyler's number two! A little random, no?

I got this from Corie
create your own personalized map of the USA
I've been to 13 states--that's 25% of the states, apparently. Which new state should I visit next?

I saw Shrek 2 last night! I really wasn't planning to see it, since I didn't think the first one was that amazing, but it was the only relatively good movie playing at our Davis theater. So Dylan and I decided to see it...and it was really good! I liked it a lot more than the original one. It was definitely more for older kids and adults, because I bet a lot of the stuff in that movie went over kids' heads. But there were some really hilarious parts. I liked Puss in Boots the best. And it just had a really good message about accepting people for who they are, and not hoping for a fairy-tale ending. Awwww.
Three weeks of school left! For us UC folks, anyway. Which reminds me: I have to go work on an essay now! See ya!

I read this on a Japanese site that sells this stuff:
Once ordinary cloth gets vinyl-coated, it seems premium. How wonderful!
Once the vinyl coated cloth gets wet, it will be fine. How wonderful!
These pouches are made with such vinyl coated cloth.
We used to use Mr. Sweat glasses at our Aranzi Cafe. (Please make sure the glass is new one.)
After you get sweaty like Mr. Sweat, why don't you get something cold to drink with a glass Mr. Sweat?
If you drop your guard in winter, you will catch a cold. Security is the greatest enemy.
But once you have caught a cold, you have a runny nose. Snot comes out on its own.
Carring some tissue in this tissue case is recommended.

So, tonight I saw Bishop Allen, The Decemberists, and The SHINS! with Corie and Dylan. It was really good! All of the bands were really good. Dylan bought the Bishop Allen CD, I bought the Decemberists CD...the Shins just didn't have any stuff for sale (the merch table said "Sorry, no Shins merch: I'm crying on the inside." I definitely was. But I think it's because tonight was the first night of their tour. BUT I reminded myself that I'm going to see them again in LA...they better have stuff for sale by then!
The Shins were pretty good in concert. The reason I say pretty good is just that the lead singer was a little boring; he had hardly any personality at all! People kept yelling stuff at him, like "I LOVE YOU MARTY!" and he just totally ignored it. Luckily, the bassist and keyboardist were much more charismatic. Also, I couldn't help comparing the show to the White Stripes, which was the best show that I've seen to date, and I have to admit, the Shins could not top them. I think it's because I love that old-fashioned rock that you can just totally rock out to, which is not quite the type of music that the Shins plays. They're more pop-y. But yes. I took photos...I will post them when I get them developed...now it's after my self-imposed 12 am curfew, so I must go to sleep.

Yeah. That post on Friday didn't get published until today. I got a little confused.
But yeah...we went on a three-day camping trip, with 15 people from the IS dorm, and it was REALLY fun! We stayed at Stanislaus National Forest, which is right next to Yosemite. We actually went hiking in Yosemite, a 5-mile trail around Hetch Hetchy Reservoir (anyone heard of it? My dad said it's pretty famous), and another 3 or 4 mile hike to this waterfall in Yosemite. We were planning to go in the water when we reached the waterfall, but the water was FREEZING!! It was probably 50 degrees or colder. Nevertheless, my friend Colleen jumped in in her bikini (she jumped out screaming, too). Not to be outdone, I jumped in too, for like, 6 seconds. We eventually convinced nine of the ten people on the hike to jump in the water. It was great!! Definitely woke me up after sleeping only 5 hours in the tent!
I'll post pictures from camping as soon as I get them developed, which will probably be sometime this week, since I plan to use up the rest of the film on THE SHINS when I see them play tomorrow!!

Hello everyone!
It feels like so long since I've blogged. The reason it's been a while is because I found out on Thursday that my cat, Myra, had to be put down. I'm pretty much over it now, but it was kind of a shock when I heard. I mean, she was the first pet that our family got, and I've had her since I was in first grade. So I'm really gonna miss her.
But other than that, I had a really good weekend! Corie, Bria, Dylan and I had fun on Saturday at the Whole Earth Festival (organic cotton candy!! So awesome!), and then Corie's sister Kate drove us to Berkeley and we got Indian food. Which is like, my favorite food ever. I wish I still had film on my camera. But yes. Good weekend!

I can't believe that I did this. I put my picture up on "Hot or Not." WHy, you ask? Well, my friends Liz and Kanani have their pictures on there, so I wanted to see their ratings. However, once I registered, I realized that you can't look up a certain person. But to register, you have to put up a picture of yourself.
So, I told myself that I was NOT going to come back to see how people scored me. But I DID. Goodness gracious. Not like I need to be judged that way. But the bottom line is, I did look it up again. And I got a 7.9! Yay! That means, according to the thingy, that I am rated hotter than 77% of the women on the site. Am I shallow or what?

Some of life's small pleasures, as experienced by me today:
*Having time during my 4-hour Shakespeare class to study for the French test
*Going to the gym and hearing the whole Fountains of Wayne CD on the speaker-thingy
*Fresh rosemary bread at the dc--that's like, my favorite kind of bread ever!
*Finding out that the B- I got on the Linguistics test is actually only a B
Yay!

Cammy, if you're reading this before I called you, don't read any further!! I want to tell you on the phone first!
I had such a good weekend! I think what made it was Friday. Corie and Bria and I were planning to visit Andrea and Adam in San Francisco, but we had no idea how to get there, other than paying the 30+ bucks to take amtrak and bart, and that's not including eating in SF! So we were at a loss of what to do, when Liz (Rider) offers to drive us down there. So we were saved!
We drive down to the SF Holiday Inn at about 2, and we drive around the same block three times in a row (dang one-way streets!) trying to find reasonably-priced parking. We finally found some for $5! Woo hoo! And then we walked over to meet Andrea and Adam, and it was so nice to see them! Especially Andrea!:) Since I haven't seen her or really "hung out" with her since like, never.
We walked ALL OVER San Francisco, I got $15 spaghetti (which was actually really good), and a $7 warm cookie sundae at Ghirardelli (Yes, I ate the whole thing by myself), and then we walked to Pier 39 to get Jelly Bellys! And so that Bria could go to the bathroom. Oh, and I dragged everyone to the old games museum, and we took photobooth pictures. We squished four of us in the machine. That seems to be the maximum amount of normal-sized people that fit in there.
I think we all like the third-to-last picture the best. Andrea's eyes make me laugh.
And then we walked ALL the way back to the hotel at like, 7:30, and just talked for a while. And Adam had fun throwing paper airplanes out of the 26th-story window (which had an awesome view of the bay). All in all, I really want to do something like that again! I did NOT want to go back to Davis, that's all I can say!
